U16 Division 4 Football Champions - Our Thomas Ashe U16 A squad had a fantastic 4.13 to 2.10 win away versus St Mary's, Saggart last Thursday in a very wet and windy Rathcoole.
The lads took to the field knowing winning the match could lead to a league win.
It was all square (2.2 - 1.5) at half time! The the lads turned on the style in the critical 3rd quarter assisted by a strong wind. St Mary's pushed us all the way to the end but the Thomas Ashe lads proved too strong.
Then the news came through that Trinity Gaels had beaten Clann na Gael and we had won the league.
A fantastic result for a great group of lads.
This was a real panel effort - there are a number of the lads are currently away on holiday or injured but the second squad lads and some of the younger lads stepped up to assist.
Well done to all the lads - coaches and parents are very proud of you all !
