Friday night didn’t end with silverware, but it ended exactly how this team does things: together.
No sulking. No slipping off home. No heads down. Just good crack, laughter, pride — and a full squad heading straight to Coolquoy Lodge, where they were welcomed with food, refreshments, and the kind of atmosphere only this group can create.
This team does many things well, but celebrating together — win, lose or draw — is one of their greatest strengths. It’s what makes them a family, not just a panel.
And the generosity shown on the night says everything about the people who support them. A massive thank you to Declan McDonnell, who put money behind the bar for the team. Declan is a lifelong supporter of St. Margaret’s — and the fact he gave such a generous donation despite not having a daughter on the team shows just how dedicated he is to the club, and especially to the ladies section.
Huge appreciation also to John Fitzgerald and David Martin (Bishopswood) for their incredible generosity. Let’s just say… some of us stayed a little bit too late in the Lodge thanks to them.
