Massive thanks to Adrienne, Alannah, Catherine,  Michelle, Ivan, Nigel and Robbie for pulling off a night of spooky brilliance at the Juvenile Halloween Fancy Dress Disco! π»
Letβs be real β entertaining a crowd of sugar-fueled goblins aged 4 to 12 is no small feat. Even with DJ Dale (our very own club legend) spinning tunes, it takes serious stamina, patience, and maybe a touch of sorcery to keep the chaos fun and the tears minimal. π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
Adrienne led the charge with a mountain of behind-the-scenes organisation, while the three ladies not only ran the shop like pros but also decorated the hall, and still hit the dance floor themselves. π They were up at the club for 4pm, the disco kicked off at 5, and they didnβt leave until after 10pm β and they stayed to clean up! Thatβs not volunteering, thatβs a marathon.
Ivan roamed the disco like a friendly ghost, making sure every child was having a blast β a true guardian of good vibes. π
And of course, our unstoppable Club President Mary Madigan was right there in the thick of it. Honestly, where does she get her energy from? If we could bottle it, weβd have enough to power the floodlights for a year. π‘πͺ
Volunteering can be a thankless gig. Itβs quiet work, often done without fuss, but that doesnβt mean itβs easy. It takes hours out of someoneβs life, and itβs unpaid. So while a simple βthank youβ might feel small, we hope it lands with the weight of our gratitude. You made magic happen last night, and weβre lucky to have you.
From all of us at St. Margaret's GAA Club β THANK YOU ππ
