These courses will run from October through to March 2026. Combining levels 1 & 2 means that candidates will be trained to referee games up to U12's which will give clubs more scope to provide referees.
Courses will now run over two evenings followed by practical session.
Names and dates of birth should be submitted along with venue of choice prior to Wednesday 3rd September 2025.
The minimum age requirement is 15.

After submission of interest participants will be forwarded details/links for the following:
· Application form
· Entrance exam - 70% pass mark is required.
· Payment link - Cost is €100with kit/ €60 no kit.
Times of courses (7.00pm to 9.30pm on the first two sessions and the third session will be a Saturday morning - time will be advised to them during the course).
Participants will need to be available for ALL dates without exception.

There will be a final exam during the 2nd session of the course where a pass mark of 90% must be achieved along with practical work on the 3rd session to qualify as a Level 1 & 2 referee.
Any applicants who are aged 16 and over must be Garda Vetted. If any participants are already Garda Vetted they must submit confirmation of this. If not, they should contact their Club’s Children’s officer who will guide them through the process. Participants can commence this course without having this process complete but the onus is on each club to ensure that all referees are fully Garda vetted prior to commencing refereeing.
