Thomas Ashe U16
Thomas Ashe U16 boys welcomed Trinity Gaels to Nevinstown this evening in their final game of the division 6 league. The lads came flying out of the blocks to build a good lead with scores coming from all over the park through great teamwork which brought them in at HT 6 points up. The instructions from the management was more of the same second half and the lads stuck to the game plan to go 11 points up at one a stage in the game. Credit to Trinity they stuck at and battled back to come within 4 points, the management introduced fresh legs midway through the second half and the lads upped their game to finish really strongly and finish out on a winning scoreline of 5-12 to 5-04 and in doing so clinching the division 6 title which is back to back league titles for this ever improving team. Well deserved celebrations by the group at the end and it will be a weeks rest now for the team before they are back training hard for the championship in August. Well done to team and management 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
